Waza National Park is a biosphere reserve recognized by Unesco since 1979. Rich in exceptional natural fauna, it is one of Cameroon’s tourist assets. First a hunting reserve created in 1934 under the name of Zina-Waza, the park received national park status in 1968.

Waza National Park is one of Cameroon’s national parks. Located in the far north of the country, not far from Lake Chad, it covers an area of 1,700 km².
